Post-Publication Discussion and Amendments
The Editorial Board of Bulletin of Cherkasy University. Series: Physical and Mathematical Sciences supports academic discussion and encourages constructive scholarly debate on published materials.
During post-publication analysis, certain shortcomings of articles may be identified, including significant or minor errors that were not, or objectively could not have been, detected during the editorial review and peer review process.
In order to minimize such situations, the Editorial Office undertakes to agree with the authors, in particular with the corresponding author, on all changes to the manuscript text introduced at the stage of editorial and publishing preparation.
An exception is made for technical corrections, including spelling, punctuation, grammar, and other editorial amendments, which do not affect the content of the scholarly material and may be introduced without additional approval.
The Editorial Office encourages authors and readers to engage in active scholarly communication, professional discussion of research results, consideration of the prospects for their practical application, and constructive comments on the argumentation, methodology, or scholarly significance of publications.
When publishing open comments, reviews, corrections, author responses, or critical remarks, the following are unacceptable:
-
personal insults;
-
discriminatory statements;
-
biased subjective assessments;
-
statements that demean authors, reviewers, editors, or the journal’s activities as a whole.
Changes and corrections
The journal follows generally accepted international recommendations regarding changes to already published materials.
Minor corrections
Errors that do not affect the scholarly content, research results, or the integrity of the publication, including technical, typographical, and spelling mistakes, inaccuracies in references, page numbering errors, and similar issues, may be corrected by publishing a notice of the changes made.
In such cases, the original PDF file is replaced with a corrected version indicating the nature of the changes introduced.
Information about the correction is published in the relevant section of the journal, together with a detailed description of the identified errors and the corrections made.
The previous version of the material is archived and retained with an appropriate update notice.
Correction of significant errors
Significant errors affecting the research results, their interpretation, or academic integrity are corrected through the publication of a separate official notice.
Grounds for such a correction may include:
-
a change in the list of authors;
-
identification of unintentional errors in the research results;
-
incorrect presentation of tables, figures, charts, or other illustrative materials;
-
other circumstances that substantially affect the content of the publication.
The decision to make such corrections is taken by the Editor-in-Chief after consultation with the authors and members of the Editorial Board.
